Vietnam contributes to regional development

(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung today/Tuesday attended the 7th East Asia Summit.

Earlier the same day, Dung along with other ASEAN member leaders and partners showed up at the ASEAN Global Dialogue. Delivering speech at the event, the PM considered it a great chance to exchange opinions of regional and global issues and emerging challenges. He praised the role of ASEAN and the East Asia in building a stable and prosperous region. Dung affirmed that Vietnam will join in the efforts on a voluntary basis for sustainable development target.

PM Dung and leaders of the US, Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, and Australia on Tuesday gathered in an informal summit on the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement. Dung reiterated Vietnam’s determination and joint efforts to complete the negotiation shortly. He called on member states to step up agreements to pave the way for a greater involvement in the global value chain, helping maintaining the key role of the Asia-Pacific region in the world economy.
