Vietnam Family Festival to be held

(VOVworld) - The 2012 Vietnamese Family Festival will begin next week in Hanoi to honor the value of Vietnamese families. At a press briefing in Hanoi on Friday, the festival’s organizers said that with the message, “families to preserve cultural values”, the festival includes a wide ranges of activities. Head of the Family Division at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tran Tuyet Anh said: "The ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will work with the Youth Union and speed up a information campaign to educate young families on liefstyles and preventing domestic violence over the next 3 years. We are conducting a survey of families and moves to prevent domestic violence in 63 provinces and cities nationwide. This is a breakthough in state management in terms of family issues. We’ll announce the results of our survey on the relationships within families, how to minimize domestic violence, the divorce rate, and gender equality this October."
