Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, head of the Personnel organization Department of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said that the Presidium of the 10th-tenure Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will have 72 members instead of 62 members in the previous tenure.

The Committee will also be expanded to include intellectuals, experts, scientists, and entrepreneurs as well as leaders of religious organizations, he said. “This term will also include overseas Vietnamese, reflecting the Vietnam Fatherland Front's desire to enhance professionalism and quality in its activities.”

The Congress will implement six action programs, focusing on enhancing the quality and effectiveness of supervision and social criticism; practicing democracy; Party and State building; and improving people-to-people diplomacy and overseas  Vietnamese affairs.
