(VOVworld) - Vietnam has won 61 gold medals at the ongoing 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore after athletics, shooting and taekwondo added to the pile.

In track and field, Vietnam dominated the women’s 400-metre event with a one-two finish. Nguyen Thi Huyen came in first place in the women’s 400-metre event after crossing the finish line with a personal best of 52 seconds. Shooting yielded a gold medal from Le Nghia, who beat Chen Soong Fook of Malaysia 12-10 in the final. Taekwondo also won their second gold medal with a victory in the women’s team poomsae event.
