The week-long exercise, hosted by the Vietnam Department for Peacekeeping Operations, focuses on the technical issues and legal and humanitarian concerns facing UN peacekeeping missions.

Colonel Nguyen Nhu Canh, the Department’s Vice Director, said the exercise aims to improve the capabilities of the Vietnamese and Indian peacekeeping missions and help them catch up with the UN’s multidimensional integrated force. It also promotes the capacity of the Vietnam Department for Peacekeeping Operations in hosting exercises towards its target of making its training facilities recognized regionally and globally.
