At the meeting, Indian Defense Secretary Sanjay Mitra said the dialogue is an important mechanism for the two countries to implement agreements secured by their leaders to develop the Vietnam-India comprehensive strategic partnership. They agreed to continue implementing deals such as the declaration of a joint vision for Vietnam-India defense relations for 2015-2020, and increase delegation exchanges, consultations and dialogue mechanisms, as well as cooperation in human resources training, the defense industry, IT, and peacekeeping missions.
