He emphasized the importance of the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) and asked Poland's Sejm to ratify the pact soon. He urged Poland to advocate for the European Commission to lift the IUU "yellow card" on Vietnamese seafood exports.
The leaders agreed to strengthen coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums and international organizations.
At a reception for representatives of the Poland-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group the same day, PM Chinh emphasized efforts to achieve a bilateral trade turnover of 5 billion USD.
The Polish parliamentarians pledged to push for the swift ratification of the EVIPA and support the removal of the IUU "yellow card” as well as the recognition of the Vietnamese community in Poland as an official ethnic minority group.
