Vietnam National United Front anniversary celebrated

81st founding anniversary of the Vietnam National United Front took place on Friday in Ho Chi Minh city. At the event, the participants affirmed that the Front has always fulfilled its task of uniting and mobilizing Vietnamese people for the common goals of the Party and nation. Over the past years, the Municipal Fatherland Front Committee has followed the example of Vietnam National United Front in creatively applying the Party policies and State laws on national unity and made great contribution to successfully fulfilling tasks of socio-economic development in the city.

Earlier at a National Unity Day event in Hanoi, National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong called on local residents to continue mutual assistance for a prosperous and civilized residential area. In the central province of Ha Tinh, celebrations have been going on since last Friday. Tu Van Dien is President of the provincial Fatherland Front said: “An exciting atmosphere can be felt in the province where activities have included donations to Funds for the Poor. Fatherland Fronts at all levels have built more than 10,000 houses for disadvantaged people. We are calling on enterprises, kindhearted individuals and social organizations to join hands to complete the construction of an additional 11,000 houses for poor people by the end of this year”.

In Nam Dinh province, the local Fatherland Front and relevant agencies are joining hands in developing new rural areas in 96 pilot communes.
