Vietnam records 3,797 new cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health said that from 5 pm on Thursday to 5 pm on Friday, Vietnam recorded 3,797 new cases, raising the total caseload to 857,639.

On Friday, Vietnam ranked 40 out of 223 countries and territories in the total number of infections, while with the ratio of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranked 155 out of 223 countries and territories (8,710 cases per 1 million people on average).

918 COVID-19 patients recovered, 93 patients died. To date, Vietnam has cured 788,923 patients. The death toll hit 21,043, accounting for 2.4% of the total number of infections.

More than 59 million doses of vaccine have been administered, of which more than 17 million are second doses.
