Vietnam, Republic of Korea promote strategic cooperative partnership

During his meeting with President Moon Jae In, the Deputy Prime Minister pledged Vietnam’s determination to promote strategic cooperative partnership with South Korea for development and peace. President Moon said the Korea is willing to support Vietnam’s development and wished for an earlier visit to Vietnam.

During talks with Prime Minister Lee Nak Yeon, Deputy Prime Minister Minh called for more balanced trade towards 100 billion dollars of revenue by 2020. He encouraged Korean businesses to invest in Vietnam’s infrastructure.

In talks with Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha, both agreed to hold deputy ministerial level strategic dialogue on diplomacy, security and defense. Deputy Prime Minister Minh asked the Korea to provide more ODA to Vietnam to build infrastructure, land mine clearance and receive more Vietnamese workers in Korea. He reiterated Vietnam’s constant policy of supporting peace, stability and denuclearization in the Korean peninsula.

During his meeting with leaders from top 20 Korean economic groups, the Deputy Prime Minister pledged favorable conditions for them to contribute to bilateral strategic cooperative partnership.
