Vietnam seek to push trade in the Middle East

(VOVWORLD) - Two-way trade between Vietnam and the Middle East surged to nearly 13 billion USD last year, up 17.4% from 2016.

Vietnam’s trade surplus with the region recorded 6.4 billion USD. These figures reflect the increasing attractiveness of the Middle Eastern markets, especially when Vietnam’s traditional markets have reached saturation point, according to the Asia-Africa Markets Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Market research and a number of trade promotion activities have been launched to help Vietnamese businesses perform better access to the Middle East.
