Pham Hong Quat, Director of the Department of Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprises, said, "Young people in Vietnam offer a lot of new ideas and connections to solve problems for businesses and the society. They create startups and develop projects on the environment, health for the elderly, women, children, and people with disabilities as well as projects to build smart cities and smart villages."

UNESCO representative in Vietnam Christian Manhart pledged to cooperate with Vietnam to promote clean energy, the sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) policy, and innovations with resources from the private economic sector, especially locally.
