(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has praised contributions by Myanmar Ambassador Win Hiaing to boosting the friendship and multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries, especially last year when both celebrated 40 years of diplomatic relations.

At a reception in Hanoi on Wednesday for Ambassador Win Hiaing who came to say goodbye at the end of his term in Vietnam, Mr. Phuc said Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to develop friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Myanmar for the sake of the two peoples, for cooperation and solidarity within ASEAN, and for peace, stability, and cooperation in the world.

Mr. Phuc noted that Vietnamese businesses are keen to cooperate with their Myanmar partners, calling on Myanmar to facilitate their operations.

Ambassador Win Hlaing pledged that in any position he will contribute to strengthening bilateral collaboration.
