Vietnamese Ambassador talks about Deputy PM Minh’s upcoming visit to China
(VOVWORLD) -Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh will visit China and co-chair a meeting of the Steering Committee for Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation in Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on Tuesday and Wednesday. The trip will be made at the invitation of Wang Yi, State Councilor and Chairman of the Steering Committee for China-Vietnam Bilateral Cooperation.
Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai told a VOV reporter in Beijing how significant the visit will be.
“First, it demonstrates the determination in maintaining close exchanges and contacts between the two parties and countries, contributing to strengthening political trust. Second, it is the effective implementation of the common perceptions between the senior leaders of the two parties and countries, contributing to deepening the friendship and win-win cooperation between Vietnam and China. Third, this is the overall assessment of bilateral cooperation since the 13th meeting of the Steering Committee for Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation (September 2021), discussing major directions and specific measures to advance bilateral cooperation in all fields, and giving impetus for Vietnam-China relations to develop further.”
According to the Ambassador, the two countries need to closely coordinate, seriously and fully implement the common perceptions of their senior leaders as well as bilateral agreements, including important results to be achieved at the upcoming 14th Session. He said he believes that on the basis of the existing advantages, potentials, needs and foundations of bilateral relations, with joint determination and efforts of the two Parties, countries and peoples, the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership will be elevated to new heights.
