Vietnamese Embassy protects citizens

(VOVWORLD) -Representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia along with Malay lawyers worked in court on Friday to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese citizen Doan Thi Huong.

A High Court of Malaysia announced that the trial of Huong and an Indonesian citizen, the suspects in the murder of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea citizen Kim Chol, will last for 6 consecutive sessions until November. Under the direction of Vietnam's Foreign Ministry, the Embassy of Vietnam in Malaysia will continue working closely with Vietnamese agencies concerned and Malaysian lawyers defending Huong to ensure the trial is fair, objective and that her legitimate interests are protected.
