During the meeting, the Vietnamese top leader emphasized that Vietnam is focused on selectively attracting investment to foster the development of the digital, green, circular, and knowledge-based economies. Priority will be given to projects in high-tech sectors such as electronics, semiconductors, innovation, renewable and hydrogen energy, biotechnology, healthcare, international financial centers, modern trade and services, infrastructure construction, and research and development.

Lam expressed his hope that Irish businesses will continue to strengthen their investment in Vietnam and expand cooperation projects. He affirmed Vietnam’s commitment to welcoming and supporting Irish businesses, assuring that the country is ready to facilitate their effective investment and operations. He highlighted that Vietnam is committed to creating favorable conditions for foreign businesses, including those from Ireland, to contribute to the socio-economic development of both nations.

He also encouraged Irish businesses to engage with and support Vietnamese companies in participating in global value chains. He called on them to conduct their operations with a focus on efficiency, sustainability, high social responsibility, and environmental protection, and to actively contribute to Vietnam's comprehensive transformation strategy, particularly in digital transformation, green development, and global governance reform.
