(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc held a working session with the Vietnam Women’s Union in Hanoi on Saturday.

He said the Union should step up its gender equality program, increase the percentage of women officials in elected agencies, and renovate the activities of its branches. He asked local authorities to create favorable conditions for the Union’s activities to support poor and disadvantaged women. Mr. Phuc said the Union should increase communications on Party and state policies and help women nationwide improve their lives as well as protect their legitimate rights and interests.
