(VNA) - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh met with the World Bank’s Country Director for Vietnam Victoria Kwakwa in Hanoi on Wednesday to discuss the reformation of Vietnam’s financial sector and state-owned enterprises (SOEs). During the meeting, Ninh applauded the WB’s past support for Vietnam in capital, technology, and policy consultations, affirming that Vietnam considers the WB an important long-term partner. He stressed the importance of restructuring credit organizations and SOEs and Vietnam’s resolute determination to complete the process.

Kwakwa praised the Vietnamese government for stepping up reforms of the financial sector and SOEs in 2013. She expressed her expectation of continued support for these reforms.
