This year’s event aims to treasure gathering moments with meals, honor humane values of Vietnamese families in combination with increased communications on family affairs.

Diverse activities have been underway across Vietnam on this occasion to call on people from all walks of life to build up civilized lifestyle and behaving culture in the family, community, and society.

In Can Tho City and Hoa Binh province, conferences were held to evaluate the implementation of criteria set in the Vietnam family development strategy aimed to prevent domestic violence and gender equality.

A meeting took place in Bac Giang province to praise outstanding families of workers and state servants who have overcome life difficulties to become well-off citizens, learning traditions who have token great care of the elderly.

A painting contest was held in Gia Lai province aiming to honor traditional values and create links among family members. This is an opportunity for families to meet and exchange experiences in building a prosperous, equal, and happy household to foster the creativeness of families, especially children.
