(VOVworld) – The 2016 Vietnam family festival day opens on Saturday night in Vietnam Center for Arts and Culture Exhibition, Hanoi and will run until June 28.

There was a series of events such as a workshop on the role of family, culture exchanges, and folk games. Other programs included communications and consultation on healthcare, free check-ups for the elderly, and Yoga and aerobic performances. Vuong Duy Bien, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: “The highlight of this year’s festival is an exhibition of life skill guide books for children and parents to help form personalities of the young generation. We want to focus on love and care between family members, which will be the foundation for educating children”.

The Vietnam family festival day honors traditional values of family and reminds the young generation of the role of family in modern society.
