The art performance dubbed "Stars of the City" took place at the Monument of Vietnamese heroic mother and hero of the people's armed forces Nguyen Thi Ranh, Phuoc Hiep commune, Cu Chi District. Nearly 700 participants were members of the Sai Gon-Gia Dinh women logistics commission, many of them are heroes of the people’s armed forces. Chairwoman of the municipal Women's Union, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich, said the event aimed to pay tribute to those sacrificed their life to national liberation.

In Soc Trang province, more than 300 members of the Women’s Union in different generations of Soc Trang, Hau Giang provinces and Can Tho City  gathered in a celebration of the Vietnam Women’s Day.

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the USAID held a workshop in Hanoi on Friday on women empowerment in the ASEAN. Participants discussed policy recommendations to create more jobs for women in the digital economy.
