(VOVworld) – An art exchange was held Friday evening at VOV headquarters in Hanoi to mark International Day of Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action on April 4^th.

The audience had a chance to talk with guest speakers about community’s responsibilities in addressing issues related to bombs and mines left after the war which would then contribute to Vietnam’s socioeconomic development. Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, Minister of Labor, Invalid, and Social Affairs spoke at the event: "I call on the Standing Committee 504 which is in charge of the bomb and mine clearance program to initiate solutions to mobilize resources to speed up the program. The Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Planning and Investment, and Finance are urged to closely cooperate to allocate resources for the program’s activities. Communications activities on this topic should be accelerated to improve public awareness."
