Art performances celebrate Hanoi Liberation Day
(VOVworld) - Some 30 art performances are taking place across Hanoi to herald 61 years of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October -10, 1954). Art troupes from the city and vicinities are expected to bring an exciting atmosphere for the city dwellers through music and circus shows, including folk singing such as “cheo” (traditional opera), “tuong” (classical drama), “cai luong” (reformed theatre), and “quan ho” (love duet). Organised by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, the programs are in praise of the Party and the late President Ho Chi Minh as well as the love for the thousand-year-old capital city.
3000 Youth Union members took part in a youth rendezvous program called “I love Hanoi” on Friday night. The event also honoured young outstanding entrepreneurs in 2015. Phi Dinh Kien is deputy president of Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs’ Association: " A ceremony to honour young outstanding entrepreneurs is of great importance to encouraging them to further develop their businesses and contribute to society.
