Participants praised localities for tourism development and improvement in investment but pointed out the current lack of regional connectivity.
Deputy Prime Minsiter Vuong Dinh Hue, also the forum’s chairman, stressed the importance of regional connectivity to overall economic development. He proposed that the central region create exclusive policies to make it a key maritime economic hub.
“Connectivity within the region and with other regions is crucial. This forum aims to extend that connectivity. We need to work out measures and proposals to present to the government,” Mr. Hue said.
