He made this plea at the United Nations Climate Change Summit in New York on Tuesday. Minh told summit attendees that Vietnam aims to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions 8-10 percent compared to 2010, and lower its energy consumption to GDP ratio 1-1.5 percent per year. Minh said Vietnam is drafting a report on “Intended Nationally Determined Contributions” (INDCs) which sets out the country’s contributions to climate change mitigation, adaptation and financing.
