(VOVworld) - The final marker, erected between Vietnam’s central province of Quang Tri and Lao southern province of Salavan, was inaugurated on August 31.

The marker 638 was unveiled on the occasion of the 50^th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Laos, 35 years of signing the Friendship and Cooperation Agreement, and the Vietnam – Lao Friendship year 2012. The marker will create a more stable and secure borderline for local people as well as contribute to the successful completion of the two countries’ master plan of replanting and upgrading border landmarks.
