Folklore arts honored in Quang Ngai festival
(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has opened the Professional Theatrical Arts, Bài Chòi (Folk Singing with Cards Game) and Opera 2018 in the central city of Quang Ngai.
 The festival's opening ceremony takes place in Quang Ngai on October 20th, 2018.

Nearly 500 artists will perform in 15 plays by eleven theatrical troupes during the festival.
“The event aims to promote the arts, which were recognized as a world intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO”, said Trinh Cong Son, Head of the provincial Folklore Arts Preservation and Promotion Center.
“The week-long event will improve public awareness in the preservation and promotion of the traditional arts. This will help regulators to draft suitable policies to develop these arts to serve the public in reform”, said Chairman of Vietnam Theatrical Artists Association, Le Tien Tho, who is also Head of the Organizing Board.
