Hanoi hosts Vietnam International Water Week 2018

(VOVWORLD) - Themed “Vietnam Water Cooperation Initiative”, the Vietnam International Water Week (VACI 2018) opened in Hanoi on Sunday as part of the activities to mark the World Water Day on March 22.

Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Quy Kien stressed that the Vietnamese government considers water the strategic resource for national sustainable development. Ensuring the efficient use of water to meet the demand of sustainable socio-economic development and national defence is one of Vietnam’s main policies included in the Law on Water Resources, according to Mr. Kien.
Symposiums, public-private partnership forums, and exhibitions will be held during the week.
