Hung Kings worship enhances unity and cohesion
(VOVworld) – A seminar on the worshipping ritual of the Hung Kings in Vietnam was co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in Ho Chi Minh city and the HCM City People’s Committee.

The worship of the Hung Kings was recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2012. Researchers said the worship of the Hung Kings represents the national spirit of unity and cultural values.
Professor, Doctor Truong Quoc Binh, a member of the National Council of Cultural Heritages, says: “The Vietnamese Party and State have paid special attention to protecting and promoting the values of the Hung Kings worshipping ritual as a precious national asset. We believe that this ritual will be upheld forever.”
Participants listened to 40 presentations on the history and significance of the ritual as well as preservation activities. There are 1,400 temples dedicated to the Hung Kings and their generals nationwide.
