The Lao leader’ letter reads:
“The Party, State and people of Laos expressed their gratitude and appreciation that despite facing many difficulties in fighting COVID-19, the Party, State and people of Vietnam are very helpful to Laos. The valuable, timely, and highly effective assistance of Vietnam in human resources, medical equipment and medicines in large quantities has made an important contribution to Laos' containment of the pandemic.
From mid-April to now, drastic and uniform measures have been taken with the involvement of the entire political system and society, gradually controlling the spread of the virus.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread and become dangerous for countries around the world, Laos will work closely with Vietnam to defeat the pandemic together and the lives of the two peoples will soon be stabilized.
May the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos continue to develop, be forever green, and eternally sustainable.”
