The Vietnam Trade Union were established in 1929 and existed in parallel with the struggle for national liberation and development. The Vietnam Trade Union Law in 1990 defines that Trade Unions are a component of the political system of the Vietnamese society.
At a recent meeting with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL), President Tran Dai Quang said the working class has involved in all sectors of the economy and contributed more than 67% of GDP and 70% of national budget.
Trade Union plays an important role in social development and is a firm support of workers in any period. VGCL has submitted to the Prime Minister a project to build trade union mechanisms at industrial and processing zones to promptly resolve workers’ demand and improve their living quality.
