“Meet the USA 2017” affirms Vietnam-US comprehensive cooperation
(VOVWORLD) -The “Meet the USA 2017” conference was held in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday involving representatives from the Vietnamese government agencies and provinces involved in trade and investment projects with the US, and 150 US businesspeople.
They discussed key cooperative projects on IT, energy, waste treatment, and high-tech agriculture. Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc said: “Vietnam and the US have discussed cooperation in economics, trade, investment, and other fields. Both countries share many interests and set priority to further enhance economic, trade, and investment cooperation, generate jobs, and reduce trade deficit to benefit both sides.”
Vietnam and the US target bilateral trade revenue to surpass the 47 billion USD mark. Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan said it’s the right time for American businesses to seek investment opportunity in Vietnam.
