(VOVworld) – The National Civil Aviation Security Committee convened on Wednesday to review its performance over the last 5 years and discuss plans for next year.

Committee chairman Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai chaired the meeting. Delegates agreed that during this period air traffic safety and security have been ensured  and Vietnam’s air cargo transport has maintained a high growth rate. Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang said: “It’s necessary to continue modernizing aviation equipment, applying information technology, and increasing airport security.”

Deputy Prime Minister Hai urged improved aviation security to prevent any violations of civil aviation regulations.
