(VOVworld) – The National Press Festival themed “Celebrating a new spring, the success of the 12^th National Party Congress, and 30 years of renewal” opens in Hanoi on March 13-15.

The event is co-organised by the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee.

VOV introduces its publications at the festival

Vo Van Thuong, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Communications and Education Commission, spoke at the opening ceremony: “The National Press Festival is an innovative and practical event to diversify and promote Vietnam’s press. It’s an opportunity for journalists to compete and improve their revolutionary spirit and profession. The success of the festival will raise the prestige of Journalists Associations at all levels and the press’s role in society.”
Besides exhibitions, the festival includes seminars on journalism and exchanges among journalists.
