In his address, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highlighted Vietnam’s care for people’s health and its policies to help people overcome disease risks and reduce treatment costs. The Prime Minister stressed the need to take more resolute measures to increase the coverage of health insurance to 90 percent of the population by 2020. Prime Minister Phuc said: “There are approximately 20 million people have not bought health insurance, many of them are of the vulnerable and disadvantaged groups. I call on donors, enterprises, and social organizations to support and present health insurance cards for disadvantaged people. Helping people to buy health insurance is one of the important solutions to build a democratic, equal, prosperous and happy society”.
