VFF calls for donations for COVID-19 affected southern localities
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee launched a program on Wednesday to raise donations for southerners in the grip of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program hopes to raise 13 million USD to help them meet their basic needs.
President of the VFF Central Committee Do Van Chien said, “Donations will be given as quickly as possible directly to the poor and vulnerable people in the southern region being ravaged by COVID-19. The donations can be in cash or in kind, such as food, daily necessities, and medicines.”

Gift packages worth 8 million USD were delivered by the program on Wednesday to people in the south who are under social distancing mandates.
