Vietnam, a successful example of development
(VOVworld) - The Vietnam 2035 report, themed “toward prosperity creativity, equity and democracy”, was released in Hanoi on Tuesday by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the World Bank. The report includes reform measures for Vietnam to become a rapid, sustainable economy with an upper-middle-income by 2035. To this end, Vietnam needs to secure an average annual growth rate of 7% and increase its average income to 7,000 USD by 2035. World Bank President Jim Yong Kim said Vietnam is a successful example of development with millions of people having escaped from poverty over the last 30 years.
The report says Vietnam is expected to become a modern industrial economy with comprehensive growth and environmental sustainability by 2035.
