(VOVworld) – The first meeting of the Country Permanent Representatives (CPR) to ASEAN under Laos Chairmanship was held on Saturday after a ceremony to hand over (CPR) Presidency from Malaysia to Laos.

The Vietnamese delegation led by Ambassador Nguyen Hoang Nam attended the event. ASEAN Secretary General Le Luong Minh appreciated achievements of CPR 2015 and the historic establishment of the ASEAN Community on December 31, 2015. Mr. Minh said ASEAN agencies have to focus on promoting an inclusive and people-centered community, strengthen common values, and community awareness.
ASEAN countries have committed to work closely towards the AEC Blueprint 2025.
