Vietnam, Hong Kong cooperate for economic belt development
(VOVworld) – A Vietnamese delegation had a working session on Wednesday with the Hong Kong-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, China, the last leg of their tour to survey the economic belt of the Gulf of Tonkin. Senior representatives of Vietnam’s 10 ministries and sectors, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son, were received by Chairman of the Hong Kong-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce, Professor Jonathan Choi.

Choi said this is an opportunity to learn about investment potential in Vietnam. He praised ASEAN’s agreement to discuss the membership of Hong Kong, China in the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement as an independent entity, believing that relations between Hong Kong, China and Vietnam relations will grow stronger and contribute to the development of the Gulf of Tonkin economic belt, especially the Hong Kong – Guangzhou – Vietnam triangle.
