Vietnam marks International Yoga Day 2018
(VOVWORLD) - The Indian Embassy in Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism co-hosted a celebration of the 4th International Yoga Day on Saturday night in the Hanoi Gymnasium.

In his opening address, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish said Yoga has become popular in Vietnam and brought people closer to each other. The event featured a yoga performance of 1,200 practitioners and a music band from India’s northeast.
On Sunday, more than 800 yoga coaches and people from 30 clubs jointly practiced yoga in Truc Lam Cultural Center in Quang Ninh province. Chairman of the Vietnam Yoga Association Vu Trong Loi said: “This year, many localities have effectively responded to the International Yoga Day. Celebrating the event in this sacred land in Quang Ninh, practitioners will feel the true meaning of Yoga that it helps improve physical and mental health and makes us more responsible for the community.”
