Vietnam officially implements national single window mechanism
(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung attended a ceremony on Tuesday to officially launch Vietnam’s National Single Window Mechanism and technically connect with ASEAN’s Single Window Mechanism.
Vietnam is one of 7 ASEAN countries that have announced plans to implement their mechanisms as committed. Vietnam has technically been connected with Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. ASEAN Secretary General Le Luong Minh said Vietnam’s participation will encourage other members to join the ASEAN Single Window mechanism and marks an important step in its regional economic integration. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh said Vietnam is committed to administrative reforms: “The national single window mechanism and the ASEAN Single Window mechanism are an important measure to simplify administrative procedures and promote trade, tourism, and investment. It reflects Vietnam’s commitment to formulating an ASEAN Economic Community by the end of the year.”
