Head of the E-commerce and Digital Economy Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade Dang Hoang Hai told reporters that digital technologies and online connectivity have provided growth momentum for the Vietnamese and ASEAN economies. Experts said the future’s digital economy will bring about numerous opportunities for enterprises to further penetrate the global markets. The Vietnamese government is designing a roadmap to boost the application of the 4^th Industrial Revolution’s technologies in developing an e-government.

Mr. Hai said Industry 4.0 has required the government, organizations and businesses of Vietnam to speed up digital transition to quickly adapt to new context of management and business  operation. A digital transition strategy is in need to accomplish a 4.0 Vietnam with smart governance, production, agriculture, tourism, and urban areas.
