At an online conference held by the World Bank in Hanoi on Wednesday, Mr. Dam said thanks to domestic businesses’ efforts to ensure food safety and hygiene for their products, exports of agro-forestry-fishery products in 2017 earned over 36 billion USD.
Deputy Prime Minister Dam said the Vietnamese Government has built a legal framework on food safety and hygiene, including the Law on Food Safety issued in 2010 which adopts a good approach to global trends. He added Vietnam hopes to
receive further support from the World Bank (WB) and other partners to address challenges.
