Vietnamese-made satellite to be launched into orbit in December
(VOVWORLD) -Micro Dragon, a satellite developed by 36 Vietnamese engineers, is expected to be launched into space in December, according to the Director General of the Vietnam National Space Centre (VNSC) Dr. Phạm Anh Tuan. It will be put into orbit by the Epsilon rocket.

Micro Dragon, an earth observation satellite, weighs 50kg and measures 50x50x50cm. After going into orbit, it will observe coastal sea areas to assess water quality, locate fisheries resources and monitor changes in coastal waters to serve Vietnam’s aquaculture industry.
Micro Dragon development was completed in 2017 and underwent a harsh test process by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). JAXA will announce the official time to launch Micro Dragon next Saturday.
