(VOVworld) - The UN organization for culture has emphasized the role by radio broadcasting in rescue efforts in natural disaster. UNESCO has selected the theme “radio broadcasting in emergency and natural disaster” and radio’s saving human lives as the industry could reach a large community in short period of time in need. On the World Radio Day on February 13, UN Chief Ban Ki Moon said radio help carry people’s voice and makes their voice heard. He urged the radio to be used in promoting human development.
