Quang Ninh to welcome 16,000 international tourists by sea in January
(VOVWORLD) -Ha Long International Passenger Port is expected to welcome 11 luxury cruise ships with 16,000 international visitors onboard this January.

According to the Quang Ninh Tourism Department, the Silver Dawn cruise ship carrying 600 passengers will be the first ship of the year of the Snake 2025 to arrive at Ha Long Port on January 29 (the first day of the Lunar New Year).
Pham Van Hiep, Director of the Port, said a detailed plan has been worked out to ensure security and safety in welcoming ships and tourists.
The number of cruise ship passengers to Ha Long are predicted to rise steadily by 15-20% each year. The cruise tourism industry is expected to grow strongly in the coming years. This year, Quang Ninh is expected to welcome about 70 cruise ships with nearly 90,000 passengers, 1.3 times higher than last year.
During the nine-day Lunar New Year holiday (January 25 - February 2), there will be about 7,000 international visitors to Quang Ninh by ship, most of whom are tourists from Europe and America.
