Tran De to become a deep-water seaport in the Mekong River Delta
(VOVWORLD) - The Transport Ministry on Monday cooperated with the Soc Trang provincial People’s Committee to hold a conference to call for investment in Tran De seaport, which covers 5,400 ha and has a capacity of 80-100 million tons per year.

Delegates at the conference highlighted the importance of Tran De seaport in removing bottlenecks in the transport of import and export goods and reducing logistics costs in the Mekong Delta.
The Ministry of Transport asked the Vietnam Maritime Administration to fully receive the delegates’ opinions to find optimal solutions in the detailed planning roadmap for the development of Tran De seaport.
