Young people encouraged to protect national seas and islands
(VOVWORLD) - Various activities have taken place within the "Student with the national sea and island" festival hosted by the Vietnamese Student Association of Binh Dinh province.

Highlighted activities included offering incense and flowers at the memorials of national heroes Nguyen Trung Truc and Ngo May, presenting the national flag to outstanding fishermen, giving 50 bags of welfare medicine to policy families in Cat Khanh commune, awarding 50 scholarships to disadvantaged students, and launching a program to clean up the sea.
Huynh Thi Thanh Nguyet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and President of the Vietnamese Student Association of Binh Dinh province said, "Cat Khanh Border Guard Station with beautiful De Gi beach at the front is chosen as the venue for this year’s festival. We want to introduce the national sea and islands, thus raising young people’s awareness to protect and beautify the sea and islands of their homeland."
