(VOVWORLD) -More than 200 delegates from the Ministry of Health, Vietnam Electricity (EVN), and the Ethnic Art Troupe of Hoa Binh province visited soldiers and people on the Truong Sa (Spratly) islands and the DK 1 platform from April 29 to May 5.

The delegates attended a flag salute ceremony and a parade of naval officers, soldiers and islanders on Song Tu (Southwest Cay) to mark the 49th anniversary of the liberation of the south and national reunification on April 30.
They burned incense to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect Vietnam’s sea and island sovereignty, and held culture and art exchanges. The guests also gave islanders equipment, food, medical supplies, and other items.
