(VOVworld) -  Doan Nho’s composition “Build Heaven on Earth” has become an official song of the 132^nd Inter-Parliamentary Union General Assembly (IPU 132) after winning first prize in a songwriting contest held by the Voice of Vietnam and the Sub-Committee on Information and Communications of the 132^nd IPU General Assembly.

The organizers received 150 entries praising peace, cooperation, development, and humane values, promoting human rights and friendship among nations, and introducing Vietnam’s land and people to international friends. The 10 most outstanding songs will be recorded and introduced to music fans.

VOV President Nguyen Dang Tien addressed the award ceremony in Hanoi on Sunday: "The nationwide contest attracted a lot of attention from amateur and professional musicians. Winning entries have excellently promoted to the world the beauty of Vietnam and the friendliness of the Vietnamese people."

The IPU 132 will take place in Hanoi from 28 March to 1 April attended by 1,300 delegates from 160 countries.
